Note: The onus
is on each Scholastic who intends to renew vows, to take
final vows, to be installed to minor ministries and to be
ordained a deacon or a priest to indicate his intention and
to initiate the process well in time as per our
Scholasticate Directory: Appendices A, B & C. (For those
intending to renew their vows or be ordained deacons in
February should express their intention before the end of
August the year before. Those who are to renew their vows in
September or to enter the process for the preparation for
final vows or to be ordained deacons around August should
make their intention know before the end of February.)
The
final year Scholastics need to apply for their first
obedience in the beginning of their final year here: See
Appendix D in our Scholasticate Directory.
On
the days when we will not have Mass in the morning as in the
daily time table, we will have Morning Prayer and
meditation instead unless it is otherwise indicated.
During the academic breaks there will be various projects
organized - pastoral, special Oblate studies, work
experiences, house and ground maintenance, etc.
Each
member of the community will also be assured of a four weeks
holiday at home and an opportunity to visit the Oblates of
his home Province.
On those
Saturdays allocated as “Free Day”, all are free to go out
immediately after community Mass and are to be back by
18.00. Before going out, it is important to fill in the
Free Day Sheet, indicating name, lunch attendance, and
whereabouts.
